we'll see what they ultimately choose to do once the whole interview airs, but surely he's done enough already to explore legal options. He's straight up slandering the club now (like claiming they "kind of" didn't believe him that his daughter was sick ... you know, when they gave him the whole preseason off), and given he's refused to come on in a game and decided to give interviews like this one, surely there's some kind of breach of contract there. The gloves are off for good now, no need to play nice any more.
