People are now completely used to Zoom/Teams meetings. There is no doubt that there are some meetings and job functions/roles are better in person but there's a ton of jobs where most meetings can be held virtually without issues.
Someone coding or doing a bunch of finance tasks would be sitting in their cubicle with noise cancelling headphones on trying to avoid being distracted most of the day.
