Well could you imagine how f'ked up the tax system would be if taxes collected had to be segregated based on the contributor's beliefs, such that that's how the taxes are distributed?

A Catholic's paid taxes can only go towards the salary of a Catholic police officer in a separate Catholic police force that only attends to calls made by Catholics?
