#7 is a regular, unless you are hoping to go injury-free all season.
We don't really have a #1 (Weegar and Hanifin are both arguably top-pairing guys, but neither is a #1), Andersson is the closest thing to a #1, but isn't really. I would argue Tanev is the most important, because he holds things together defensively, and allows everyone else to do their thing. So we are missing:
#1 Tanev
#5 Kylington
#7 Stone
#9 Valimaki (lost to waivers)
And we are currently running with: #2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 (though I would call Meloche #10)
However you want to label them, it is definitely testing our depth. Imagine if we had traded Hanifin, we would currently be looking at:
Weegar - Andersson
Mackey - Zadorov
Gilbert - DeSimone
and that would be the 2nd worst defensive group in the NHL.
