Well, it gets as warm as a daily high of 0 degrees... then it's supposed to get back down around -10 next week.

It's more about it vascillating between "abnormally cold", "beyond abnormally cold", and "cold, but within normal ranges", with nothing really to counterbalance the abnormal periods on the other end. Calgary's normal average high for November is 3 degrees; this month might average -5 to -10 at the rate things are going so far.

Still possible that the last week could be tropical and bring everything back to business as usual but I'm not counting on it.
