Which is why 10 times out of 10 it should be a suspension, because you don't actually know when it's going to risk literally ending someone's career. Two games is nowhere near enough for an intentional act that serves no hockey purpose whatsoever and has a real possibility of life-altering results, regardless of what the actual consequences were.

... You guys are joking, right? Kadri has a long history of hurting his team by getting suspended at the worst possible time in the playoffs. This past season was basically the first time he has ever NOT done that. It's one of the main reasons the Leafs felt they had to move on from him.
I'm not saying he's going to do it again now that he's with the Flames, it may have finally sunk in that he's just hurting his team... But saying "well here's a player with a history of playing on the edge at the right time, and in a way that is productive and not a distraction for his team in the playoffs" is
absolutely hilarious when applied to Kadri.
