You're right, I didn't spend a gazillion hours researching every team's player departures of the past 20 years. But I do know this much. The Flames have one conference final appearance in 32 years. Doesn't take a genius to see that the organization hasn't been doing things as well as they could have, or else the results would have been much better. The only way this trend turns around is if the organization starts doing things better. I believe they have been on a better trajectory in recent years under Tre's watch, so I'm optimistic. But it's nevertheless unfortunate to see yet another player struggle as a Flame and then suddenly do well with another team.
