I remember the good ole days of doing papers and cramming for exams. In 1st and 2nd year, I was the worst for doing essays in two days...it was stressful and compromised the quality of my work.
I figured out a technique that worked for me...I did one page per day until the paper was done. It really relaxed me as I knew I could do one page every day and it would allow me time deliberate on my thesis, come up with clear ideas, and find the best way to communicate those ideas. I always hated looking at a blank computer screen so I would always find 3 or 4 quotes that were appropriate for my topic and type them. Then I would start to build an essay around them using my thesis as continuous theme. It really worked for me...
Does anybody else have other techniques that helped you avoid the paper writing marathon?
