It’s not a question of whether they’ve played well though. It’s that the team is not as good as that record shows (at least IMO). It’s basically a team that might be top four and somehow they’re top of the table. I have no idea whether it’s sustainable (and hopefully it’s not, because a magnificent crash would be so great to watch!).
I’m not sure though. How many players have they got going to the WC? For a chunk of them, they’re not playing on their national teams and it’s basically a month break?
