I bought a cordless snowblower many years ago (got a smoking deal as it was end of season clearance and it accidentally got lumped in with the corded ones), as we had 100 ft of sidewalk beside our house. Of course, we ended up moving about a year later, and now I only lug it out of the garage if the snow is thick, wet and/or heavy.
Otherwise, a nice plastic shovel will get the job done 75% of the time without too much exertion if you get to it quick enough. The other 25% having a snowblower is a pretty nice luxury to be sure.
