Does the commissioner have the ability to unilaterally declare a player ineligible to play in the league? Leaving aside the immediate case I would think the NHLPA would take issue with that precedent being set...

It's equally bizarre to tell Enoch Root that he's off base for criticizing Jiri's personal view that is "his and his alone", and then try to lump him in with Cannon7 as if Cannon7's views and posts are attributable to him somehow.
