What were the odds a mid pick like Miller were to make the NHL without his backstory? 4th rounder? Very loosely off the top of my head it's less than 10 percent?

Now it's less than 1 percent and that's probably being generous.

Betman out there covering the leagues butts. By let's not kid ourselves. If the time comes the player actually becomes good enough to play, they'll let it happen. And it'll be a very carefully curated rise from the ashes story to wash it all away.

Again, billion dollar businesses will do anything ....anything to let talent make them money. Including building story arcs.

So this will be something to watch 4 or 5 years down the road.

Still, doubt he makes the NHL given how often a 4th round pick makes it anyways.
