Saprykin played on the Flames during parts of 4 seasons before 03/04. 118 games before 03/04.
Mike Commodore was more of out circumstance due to injury but had NHL experience in 3 seasons prior to 03/04. Two seasons with the Devils. 63 games of experience.
Oliver Kylington 87 games 2015/2016 - 2019/2020 and he only played 8 games the year prior to last year under Sutter.
Lombardi I'll give you. I'll even give you Kobasew even tho he had some experience prior to 03/04.
Regardless I'm not talking about giving a full year to a young player, I'm talking about giving them an opportunity with no NHL experience and giving them some rope to figure it out with the big club.
