The Flames vs Canucks games from the 2004 Playoffs until maybe 2012 I think was just an overall excellent hockey rivalry. Kipper vs Bobby Lou and so many forward and defensive matchup's on both sides that is was excellent. We would usually start the season with a Vancouver matchup.

For such a long stretch of time Calgary dominated the Oilers so that really wasn't a rivalry, we didn't have the Jet's so there wasn't the Prairie aspect to anything.

Just good players, good teams, unique personalities, great games, great games to actually attend in person for Calgary and Vancouver and I really liked the HNIC crew. Lot's of great Play by Play by Mark Lee from CBC. Lot's of great analysis and After Hour segments with Kelly Hrudey, Kevin Weeks and other's. Don Cherry loved Bieksa but always strugged (on purpose?) to say his name.

Bieksa also loved being on After Hour's and I think may hold the record for most appearances??

Regardless, always nice for a trip down memory lane
