Honestly, this is a nothingburger soused in weaksauce. If the headline had been, ‘Flames may or may not want to re-sign Lucic’, nobody would read it; in fact, the story would probably have been spiked. But if you phrase it in a clickbait-y way, you get people arguing over a non-story.

Yeah, somehow there are pages of people saying “it better not be multi-year!!”….. like, wtf would it be multi-year? Of course almost every player wants a multi year deal. That doesn’t mean it’s happening. Or even being considered by any team.
