According to a team source, TFP has learned the Flames have been internally discussing and evaluating a contract extension for veteran forward Milan Lucic.
The Flames have not yet approached Lucic’s camp about a new deal, but they know the player would like to stay with the team beyond this season and feel he is a big part of the team, the source explained.
Details on a potential contract have not been ironed out yet, but there is a belief Lucic would not entertain a one-year contract; two or three years is expected to be what the player would be looking for.
