You are ignoring the context. Smith let a brutal goal in a series where both goalies were brutal. The idea of getting a goal back in that series seemed easily achievable. The game last night was tight, with Skinner not allowing his own weak goals.
Markstrom sure gets the benefit of the doubt on these boards. When he has a good save percentage it's all him and not the team, when he has a bad save percentage it's all the team and not him.
He has been letting in lots of bad goals. This is not a one off for him. He's struggling. Unless we think a 903 save percentage is good enough.
