Markstrom was fine last night, he had two go in off of traffic and had no chance and then got extremely unlucky on a puck rim.
It happens.
1. He has to miss it
2. No Flame can come back to get it if he doesn't
3. Puck has to land perfectly on McDavid's stick
Happens.
I didn't love Markstrom against Edmonton last spring either but how are we just ignoring a Vezina caliber season with nine shut outs and a first round playoff series where he had to backstop his team when they couldn't score on the other guy.
He seems like a scapegoat for some to me. Way over the top.
