You want to win the series, period. Even if it means being unloyal to the Cy Young winner.

Yes, you do.

Once the game got to 5-5 it was basically a coinflip from that point on. It never should have got to that point. The Phils were playing with house money when they were down 5-0. Not the same situation as the Astros at all. Besides, Nola doesn't have Verlander's history of WS suckage.

Every game is super critical. The Phils got here by adhering to a win-the-current-game-at-all-costs philosophy. Their opponents didn't, and that's why they're watching from home.
Still feels like you are Monday morning quarterbacking here, sorry. If each game is so critical you should be arguing the Phillies should have pulled their starter sooner before it got to 5 to zero. But you’re not because of how it played out.

Pulling your starter at first sign of trouble is going to blow out your bullpen. You’re playing to win 4 games, not one.

And why is it a coin flip at 5-5? As you stated Astros have the superior bullpen.

Give credit to the Phillies, they got it done. You can’t manage your way out of poor pitching and good hitting by the opposition.
