I have done this day. Drove from Edmonton to Drumheller, stayed overnight. Woke up, did the museum first thing, drove to calgary for lunch (steak), then to the mountains for the next couple of days. So not quite that order, but breakfast in the badlands, steak in the prairies for lunch, then quiet evening in the mountains. Totally achievable and not that crazy.
