Crapola Schedule Juju

I wouldn't be shocked if we get shelled pretty hard on this road trip. The schedule is brutal playing rested teams and we're playing 5 games in 7 day and traveling across Canada. I think we'll start to see some HF panic if that's the case. Either way, a main board panic thread usually is the turning point in our season.

I’m bad luck this season, don’t know if I should watch tonight. Only game I’ve watched has been Montreal. Tuned in to the radio broadcast during the second period last night. We know how that went!!

I think those that are losing their #### on the team need to look around the league. Every single team is underperforming that was supposed to be a “contender” this year outside of Carolina and we’ve matched their point production.

The amount of leads being blown right now is bizarre by numerous teams.

If they lose tonight it will stink, but what we are seeing is simply October hockey. I’d rather they underperform now and get bought in later in the season tbh.

-edit- This is one of the oldest teams in hockey, if not *the* oldest team. They're gonna have down periods, down games, bad stretches. You just gotta try and keep the valleys not so damn deep. But it's a balancing act. We've seen this team fall behind a bit in the standings and go on a mad scramble for a month or two and just completely gas themselves and pile injuries by like February or March and that's that.

We all know the team doesn't really turn it on until you become pessimistic. No pressure.

A little positivity from last night

This feels like a lower scoring game from us. I'm thinking a 4-1 loss.

I've set my mindset now that I can either be right or pleasantly suprised. Perks of a pessimist.

You guys just don't understand the pro gamer strats the Pens are using of tiring the Flames out in the first by letting them beat on the Pens like a drum.

This is one of the most frustrating pens game I’ve ever watched. If we can’t compete with these elite teams we’re ####ed.

Yesterday I thought "I haven't listened to a Pens game this season, I should tune in. They're playing great!". I started listening at the end of the 1st yesterday, and they've been outscored 7-1 and outshot 59-23 since. Yikes! Am I to blame?

I think the d not being able to skate the puck up is also a bit of problem. In some ways I think we've traded one problem for another. Better in-zone coverage than we had with Matheson/Marino, but now (especially with Letang's issues so far) we have nobody who can rush the puck. That means we're relying on stretch passes for offense, and teams are just sitting back waiting for it.

That Kadri line is Calgary's 1st line. Huberdeau line is their #2 line with the eye test and production
