There's hundreds of reasons a person might not want to report to the police. I mean there was this little movement that occurred pretty much because of the prevalence of sexual assault and the reluctance to report or discuss it.

I highly recommend reading something like this to help you understand why someone might not go to the police:
https://www.dlawgroup.com/reasons-pe...-sexual-abuse/

But sure, you say an alleged rape victim "should" do this or that. Super easy when you're not the one raped, won't have to face the repercussions of being outed, shamed, humiliated, threatened.

This could just be the case of a person, who was clearly not seeking fame by remaining anonymous or money through a frivolous claim, felt the need to speak up against Cole to protect any potential future victims. Or just get it off her chest. That doesn't mean she needs to go to the police, likely get outed (remember Beach was also anonymous until everyone had found out who he was) and then have nothing happen to Cole because there is no evidence.

Could be a troll too. Sure. But the whole she should totally have done this to appease me specifically but because she is not acting how I want a victim to act by parading herself for my viewing pleasure, then I don't believe her is part of the reason these victims don't want to go to police and face the scrutiny from a bunch of neckbeards.
So you are making the argument that she felt the need to go public because she wanted to protect others from Cole? Then why would she not cooperate with the NHL? It seems to me by not doing so and by not making it a police issue she is in fact enabling him to do so again and not protecting anyone. And exactly what scrutiny? Everybody is automatically going to be sympathetic toward her and rightfully so if her allegations are factual. What I am saying is you can't just make an accusation that she made on social media and then bail out when what she said comes under scrutiny. If it happened then she owes it to herself and possible other victims to cooperate. The problem is finding the balance, in society it has never been there. For years women were oppressed and assaulted and we swept it under the rug. Now women are coming forward and men are being held accountable and that is great but there is a problem and that is there is also women using today's movement for either revenge or financial gain. That is a huge problem because we want the offenders to be found, to be punished, and yet there are people gaming the system. I have seen someone go through it. So we have to be careful before we start saying so and so is a piece of garbage and a rapist or an abuser until we know the facts.
