It isn't like Kane is coming here to sign here, it would only be to chase the Cup this year.
A Kane trade isn't imminent either. It will happen closer to the deadline no matter where he goes.... if he even gets traded.

I don’t believe in those types of moves when the team is already future asset poor. They trade a 1st + decent prospect for Toffoli but get him for 3 playoff runs. We look at the biggest fish in the rental market and definitely more times than not the team that made that move falls short of the cup. What Florida gave up for Giroux in Tippett+1st is not that different than the flames giving up Pelletier/Coronato+1st for Kane. I don’t think the Flames can afford that
