Design not so much because the ship sailed on that back in 1995 and 1997, but not a lot of creativity or foresight from the Flames here.
If they were going to do a 3rd this year as Blasty, why trot it out last year.
This year, while this time following the RR loose guidelines, could've done anything. The suggestion of the white and red HC jersey would be interesting, especially as mentioned in the thread it was 100 years since Calgary battles for the Cup in that design of jersey.
And when Adidas brings out the prototype with that cannot unsee seam and different materials at the belly, Flames should've told them to stuff it or print the pedestal not have a sewn seam cut the pedestal off.
All that said, the terrible and lazy 1995 design and lack of creativity or thinking outside the box (Blasty I can see in demand, pedestal was the darkest era of the Flames, with exactly 0 playoff series wins and only 3 playoff wins in the 6 seasons they were worn, fans weren't beating down the door for) the youth jersey looks the best, with the pedestal not crammed in there, and not the vast and puzzling amount of space under the hem stripes.
