Some of it I also can't help but wonder if they're on their phones doing a work meeting while pretending to be at home. One I saw blowing a stop sign, head down, looking at phone and talking. Another I saw going 20 below speed limit, crossing a solid white and again, talking at a phone. The absolute worst offenders seem to be those who are driving distracted and not purely ####ty driving skills.
Most who are truly driving poorly because of serious degrading of of their skills, you can see them white knuckling the steering wheel.
The sole skill I've noticed that probably has to do with less driving and WFH is probably less vehicles driving unofficial official of 10 over the speed limit. They're driving speed limit or 5-10 ish below it while driving reasonably. Not truly egregious, but it certainly is adding around 10-20% to my commute in the last month or so... but in reality, this is probably just returning back to the normal of pre-pandemic rush hour commute times.
Honestly speaking though, WTF happened recently that made it seem like vehicles on the road doubled or tripled in October? Has there been a massive return to office mandate that suddenly started or something?
