Dave Chapelle made his show, people got angry, but was there any real consequence? It’s still available on Netflix.
As for True Crime that has always been an exploitative genre.
I’d also argue that video games weren’t sanitized for violence in the 90s. People loudly complaining does not equate what is actually happening.

Violent video games weren't sanitized, I agree. That's not what I meant though. I was merely comparing the reaction to their existence as far as the morality police are concerned. Ironically, the left fought off the right then, and rightfully so. Interesting to see the left weilding the cleaver now. The right doesn't like that for sure, but their agenda has changed over a couple decades as well
I didn't mean that the style of humor was totally eradicated fwiw... it's a process. I'm sure by 2030 we'll have more concrete laws as opposed to the pre-canceling we see now from the people who themselves just don't want to be officially canceled right out of the game
Also. I'm not even 40. Can't age shame me. I'm not totally out of touch
Honestly, I'm more the type that wants to see the world burn anyway
We are in the end game of capitalism, a true dystopia fueled by liberal hysteria
George Orwell wasn't daring us to one-up him, but here we are lol
