Correct, clearly from a contract stand point. But also, he has looked particularly bad to start this yeah. As for gutting the roster, you need people to be willing to take the things you're gutting. Guys like Garland or Boeser might get you something, but like I said: less than they're actually probably worth. Making a bunch of losing trades to just try and get a fresh start isn't usually a good working strategy.

No one is coming for Bruce. He's one of the best all time regular season coaches. This is on the players.
