That is so irresponsible. He was a menace and should lose his license for a while, if not go to jail for a bit to learn a lesson about putting others in danger.

Last time I checked, what was considered the 'minimum' for this offence (and a clean record up to this point) was at least 2 of the three of the following:

6 demerits
$1500 fine
30 day suspention

From what I know, if this is your first time being caught, you usually get the fine and suspension. I had a buddy getting caught doing 185 in a 110, and got a $1600 fine and a 45 day suspension, for instance.
