I certainly understand why Sutter would leans towards playing Lewis in matchups against Colorado/Edmonton where Backlund/Coleman get heavy dosages of Mackinnon/Mcdavid but I don't think it's something you can go to consistently. Lewis does what is asked of him but his skillset is not top nine material, and it really minimizes what that line can do over all 200 feet of the ice.
Five on five Lewis leads Flames forwards in shots against, scoring chances against, high danger looks against, is last on the team in xGF%, and has been outscored while on the ice to start the season. To add to that he has been on the ice for both PP goals against in just over four minutes of icetime.
