Didn't catch it the first time round, but watching bits for a second time I thought it was really striking the way that when the mithril dropped into the circular container of the molten metal it flared up and looked just like the eye of Sauron. Nice imagery.

I also wonder about the use of moths when the wizard banishes those three wraiths. It seems like a very Gandalf kind of thing given the relationship he seems to have with moths later on, but I wonder if there's more to it.
