On a more serious note, CL shows how much funding over a period of time can influence depth of squad. It’s 1-1 and Rangers lose the starting CB to injury. Rangers bring on a backup; Liverpool (eventually) bring on Salah. Now Salah is up against an 18 year old. No complaints though. As long as Rangers continue to drive the coefficient alone and Scottish Premier League keeps thinking small, all Scottish teams will struggle at the top club level.

The last time Rangers made it out of the group stage of the Champions Leage was 2005-06, and that was the only time they've ever done it.
