It's 100% what you bring to the table with online dating. You sound like someone who has never used a dating app. It's a digital meat market and everyone's trying to trade up and the currency is looks and status. The constant small talk, vetting and texting just for some bad sex if you're lucky isn't worth it to lots of men. Juice not worth the squeeze. Time+emotions+money for a 1% shot at something meaningful and a decent chance of some bad sex. Not all men prioritize the chance of bad sex as worth the effort and money, some actually want more than that but it's such a long shot that it's not worth it
