I'm one of the only people I know who still has ringtones and text tones on. I'm aware it drives people nuts and I wish it didn't, but I can never feel my phone vibrate.
I'm also the only person in my family that reliably answers the phone when it rings, so there is merit to having an audible alert. I think my kids believe phones are for outgoing calls only.
