I think turkey gets overcooked because people time it instead of just using a thermometer. I have some idea of how long it's going to take, but when it gets within an hour I just start plugging in the thermometer, take it out at 160, and it's great every time.
I also don't think there's just one item that's above the rest. Getting a forkful with a little bit of turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce? That's the best.
