Well, yeah, I already said that. But (a) poor tone deaf performance in the investigation won't make a law firm ask and (b) even if they did she seems like the type who'd not do it. Then they'd be left with affecting her compensation until she quits.
You can indeed be voted out but most partnership agreements require 80% which is near impossible. I've seen situations where the partner refused under much worse situations and management was pretty helpless. Most partnerships don't want that kind of mess.
