In a way, yes.
Khan went into politics and held various positions, proving his worth, before being given an advisory role and eventually switching parties.
Emerson held various positions and proved his worth with his work, before switching parties.
Stronach has done very little if anything in politics, other than looking "good".
One can argue whether switching parties should be allowed or not, but it cannot be argued what Khan and Emerson have done in the past to get where they were. Stronach? All hype.
