unfortunately some of this deplorable behaviour starts in quadrant hockey (oor whatever the equivalent is in other jurisdictions). when the boys hit 15, you start to know which players are issues, the coaches always say they won't take guys that are "problem children", but in my experience, those boys are always selected for the team and nobody has the guts to call out the deplorable behavior
i am thinking the upside of the sponsors pulling out is that the WJHC will be broadcast commercial free and the game played in about 90m or so
