They've been touting their 3 way unicorn deals forever now. Last year it was going to be Kassian as part of the bad money out for MAF or Price. They are so delusional as to what they have to offer and how savvy their GM is it would be sad if the whole place didn't smell like a toilet.
According to them PK will force Chicago's hand by saying it's the only place he will go so it will be PK (and usually a good cost controlled asset) for 2 bad contracts and a 1st and maybe low end prospect. Arizona then takes the cap hit for a 3rd if they are feeling generous but usually a 4th. Or they go all in and say Arizona will retain and include Chychrun for a 2nd round pick, someone like Barrie, and a low end prospect. How they can look at how badly they fleeced themselves on the Duncan Keith trade with the same team and think somehow they are going to take advantage of Chicago for a player many more teams will be in on and will be more desired by that player.
