Who/where/when & how much. Hockey Calgary enables more collective rather than individual work on issues like this.
Community leagues are typically given first dibs on ice, but you’re negotiating with different entities. Community association, independent rink boards, the City, or private operations etc.
Basically, it isn’t easy, simple, or straightforward. This work is volunteer enabled, but a reset of how things are operated is overdue.
More sharing and collective work between all associations could be completed to pool resources, minimize redundant actions/conversations/activities and mitigate waste while producing better and more options for players/families.
