Any all season anyone buys, or any vehicle sold new in Canada, is guaranteed to have M+S designation. It’s not a performance spec, just a design on the depth and frequency of tread.
The only people who have dedicated summer tires know it. And they’re probably not the ones likely to take their Audis and Porches on track day tires through the mountains.
Overall though, Tire condition should be a cause of pulling way more vehicles off the road than it is. It’s crazyyyy what some people will drive with.
