Sutter has not been very complimentary going back to last year of Stone. I think he has been outplayed by Mackey. His defensive game is poor.

Stone has the big shot which, when it works, works great and fans go crazy over. But he isn’t very good at zone exits (too many blind rings around the boards) and for a bigger guy, isn’t great at net front clearing. I like him fine as an experienced extra D. I don’t think he’s a regular.
