Honestly — and I'm saying this as someone who wasn't a huge fan of the signing — but if you can get a Rooney/Backlund/Coleman line to work in similar fashion to the Goodrow/Gourde/Coleman line, I think you're in really good shape. I don't think Kevin Rooney is your ideal third-line forward by any means but he's a
way better skater in person than I anticipated and I could see him providing tangible upside if that line clicks.
Wouldn't that be something.
