It's funny to me that even after a full season of proving to be an excellent signing, some have gone back to stating that Treliving signing Gudbranson was a bad move. Using Sutter's coaching and systems as the reason for his success. Well, yeah, Sutter is the coach and the systems are his, so he had to have been a factor. I guess the position now that Gudbranson is gone though, is that he was hardly a factor in... his own success. And I actually agree that Gudbranson for his new contract is going to hurt in Columbus. I just don't think it means that he was successful last year in spite of his abilities. I'll never understand the need to downplay a player's abilities the minute they are no longer a Flame.
