As recommended already you need to find some divey pubs/restaurants to see the locals. Bonus points if you show up to shady places wearing suits and ties. We went to the Water Valley Saloon once after a round of golf and while the place was pretty cool and looked inviting you could tell that the locals were not too thrilled with our presence for some reason.
