Pretty sure Eakin has made a living as a bottom 6 center for a while now. He's good defensively and can win faceoffs. Seems like an ideal #4 center to me. The question is what happens to Rooney if Eakin makes the team? My thought is that they will be platooned in that 4th line spot unless someone starts playing really well.
