And I remember him very well playing with Henderson Keon and Ellis! Keon and Ullman gave them a good 1-2 at center ice. It was the 1st time watched hockey ever when my older brother "bet me" in 1967 and took Montreal. My mom made him pay me;-) So I started watching when the Leafs last won a cup! Was an early Red Wings fan and Gary Bergman was an unsung hero and solid defenseman for Team Canada 72'
Doesn't make me any smarter but sure can compare lots of players over the years. For the record... I still like Orr as even more impactful than Gretzky. Forget the highlight pic goal vs St Louis. The guy revolutionized the entire way the position of defense was viewed and played. He won the frickin scoring title and no other defenseman has ever done that.
