Based on how good his physique is year round, I'd say he probably on Testosterone Replacement Therapy ("TRT"). It's a pretty common thing these days, even in the general public. It's basically a low but consistent dose of roids provided under the supervision of a doctor. You take it year round and never see the major peaks in hormones.
The main advantage for someone at Jackman's age would be mood, vigor, fat burning etc... with increased muscle mass being there but not at unhealthy levels.
A lot of the deaths you see from steroid use are from enlarged hearts and arthrosclerosis buildup. The risk of this from TRT is reduced.
