I think the team does seem too casual sometimes. They are a fun team, and I think they play better when they are a little loose. But there's a difference between being lose because you are confident and being loose because you are casual.
The effort is inconsistent amongst the young players. Guys like Springer and Chapman set the tone with their consistency and approach but I think Buck is right that it is tougher for veterans and coaches to hold players accountable. And ultimately guys like Vladdy and Teo and Bo should be evolving to be the actual leaders on this team, meaning they are the ones setting the tone and holding each other accountable.
I do question if this team has the right make-up to win a championship. I suspect this year will be important to give them a taste of what the post-season is like. And then we will see which of the players have it in them to take that next step.
