What can Phillips bring to the Flames that'll make him stay up with the club? I have seen what Phillips does on the ice. So, I can't comment on his abilities. He'll either need to be like Mangi or be like Byron or even Derek Ryan. Trying to do what Yamamoto does is not a good thing for small players. Yamamoto was injured for most of last season because he was trying to play big like Fleury. I'd rather see smaller players with skill use his given skillsets to the max, like what Gaudreau and Mangi has done to prove that they're what it takes to be in the big leagues.
