Yamamoto was thrown into top 6 minutes on Draisaitl's wing since then, and has been an effective player at times for them.
I do think that they are very, very similar players. One guy was just given an opportunity (and TBH I don't think Yamamoto neccessarily earned it, just got lucky that Oilers had injuries and he worked on Draisaitl's wing)

Can Phillips play the role of an agitator like Yamamoto can? Not that Yamamoto is the best pest on the ice, but does bring that element. I haven't seen Phillips enough in games, but adding any extra kind of dimension to his overall game would probably make it easier to gamble on him.
